My Final Project

For this assignment I had to photograph a number of simultaneous images to make multiple images look like a movie. For my final project I photographed the chef from my work during his shift. He allowed me to photograph him whilst he was working. I was told to take the photographs with people moving in slow motion but i managed to capture the images when Craig was moving at a fast pace.
I like the movie because it is different to what others have done and it is based on an everyday working life. The music is catchy to the video, they go well together and create a good video.
When i was taking the pictures i used a tripod and a canon 400. I started to use the studio to capture my images for my final project but when it was put together it didn't look as good as I hoped to, so I booked out a camera and took it to my place of work and photograph the staff whilst they were working.
To make the movie i used imovie and dragged the images i wanted into the program. After the images were dragged into the program i had to fit each image to frame.
After fitting each image to frame i had to change the time for each image so that the image would be on for a shorter amount of time to make it look like movement.
By clicking "applies to all photos" it cuts the time from making the movie and makes it easier too.
The next thing to do was to add music to the recently cropped images, by clicking on the music note icon you can choose to go into itunes and choose a song. I chose yummy yummy yummy as i felt it fit in with the video. I retrieved the song from youtube and converted it on youtube converter and opened it in itunes so that i was able to use it for my video.
After adding the music i exported the video into my desktop and then imported it into here.

second attempt

I imported the following images into imovie to create another movie with music attached to it. The video is of me and Tisha dropping leaves and allowing Sammy to capture the image of falling leaves.
I attached the song, keep falling - alicia keys to go with the video. I think the video works well as the idea was thought of by all three of us. The images are in black and white as it gives a good effect to it.

stop frame photography

Today we ween sent outside to come up with ideas for stop frame photography. I was in a group of 3 people coming up with a series of ideas to make a movie. Tisha, Sammy and I ca,e up with the ideas of day to day life, simply from picking up a phone, dropping keys, and meeting friends.
Our first movie was of two friends meeting and hugging with the song by calvin harris - feel so close

This works well because its relevant  to the images.

Doritos Tribe

stop frame photography

Today i was introduced to the studio with the group. The studio was prepared with lights and a canon 5D camera. We learnt how to set up the lighting, the backdrop of the studio and setting up the camera from a height.
We used coloured sheets to use for the backdrop of each video to set for each scene. For the first video we used a blue sheet for water, the first video was an example of what we could photograph, using George as an example. we took 24 images for each second of a video.
For this video a song preference would be, Adele - rolling in the deep. the song would fit in nicely because of the rhythm of the song.

Video 2 we took control of, we used ideas as a group to choose a skate boarding scenario on a "half pipe" leading to tricks and ending up loosing the skate board and finishing in a curled up ball.  we used a yellow sheet to create the half pipe. by moving the skate board slightly each time, we we able to create a realistic video and by moving body parts each frame. By the end of the film, we were able to pull it all together and create a film. a song preference to this would be limp bizkit - just keep rolling because it brings in a feel of the scenario.

Video 3, we took a scene of someone walking along the path with a suitcase and clouds passing her along with a sun. For the sun, we used yellow sheets wrapped up in the shape of the sun, gray sheets to create a path, a blue sheet for the sky and white sheets for the clouds. This worked well because by moving the white sheets (clouds) it looked as if the time was passing by. A song to go with this would be adele - chasing pavements.
